Katy is a placement student with TAQA UK, supporting the Brae Hub operations (Brae Alpha and East Brae). Katy is originally from Sabah, Malaysia and completed a Mechanical Engineering diploma in 2013, before moving to Australia to start a family. After three years in Australia, she moved with her family back to her husband’s hometown of Insch in Aberdeenshire. Katy is currently studying part time towards a Mechanical Engineering degree while undertaking her placement at TAQA UK. Katy’s favourite part of the job is the dynamic working environment, the opportunities available, and the people who have been mentoring and encouraging her. This has played a significant part in her growth over the past year, and she’s extremely grateful for the opportunities TAQA UK has given her.
