Originally from Cornwall, Isla moved to Plymouth to study her undergraduate in Ocean Exploration and Surveying and further complete her masters in Offshore Renewable Energy at the University of Plymouth. After completing her masters dissertation, Isla became a sabbatical officer at the University of Plymouth Students Union where she sat on the Board of Trustees and worked with members of the University Executive Group.

Isla has recently entered the industry as a Business Intern at Reach Subsea, working within business development and growing her knowledge of the industry.
