Mental Health Aberdeen

Mental Health Aberdeen (MHA) was established in 1950, and now comprises of six distinct counselling projects which together provide services to children, young people and adults resident in Aberdeen City and Shire. Our projects currently deliver a total of 22,000 counselling sessions each year and we never charge for our services. There is a recognized need for counselling services, for individuals to be listened to, heard, and understood by trained professionals to provide a confidential, empathetic and non-judgemental space, and we are proud to provide this to our local community. MHA also provide mental health awareness training at a range of levels to empower local businesses, organisations and individuals to handle important mental health related conversations with confidence and empathy.
